I wish all Indians a very happy independence day. 350 millions people won their freedom on this day. It this not worth a celebration? We should remember and thank each and every freedom fighter who had participated in the non-violent war against the British. The freedom that we enjoy today is because of these great warriors. Let’s salute them on this auspicious day.

Its been 62 years since we got our independence. We have evolved quite rapidly over the years. Today, almost every ear is listening and every eye is watching us, is this not because of our greatness we have developed during these years. Indians are known for their intelligence; innovation, engineering, tradition, culture, courage, values, valor, honesty, truthfulness, loving nature, and lot more. We have developed an identity for ourselves. This identity values more than our trillion economy. These days we have huge influence on the American and the European culture. But let’s preserve the Indianism i.e. special qualities we are best known for. Please don’t sacrifice your values for anything not even for God sake. Wherever you are, be proud to be an Indian and always live like an Indian.

Enjoying this gorgeous identity, mother India has given us, what are we giving her in return? Let us try to be her beloved children. Fill your heart with love and spread the message of peace. Let us not get carried away with hatred and violence our neighbors are showering on us. Let us make India a heaven on earth. Besides her lustrous richness, India is facing a lot of problems in all sectors because of one evil practice…corruption. Even the educated people are actively contributing to corruption to get their things done quickly. But in doing so, we are submitting our obedience to this evil. We are sacrificing our character. Does time worth more than our human and moral values? Please don’t buy your rights with money. Stop corruption from your side. Contribute in whatever way possible for the best of our nation.

Wear the flag close to your heart and show how dearly you love your nation.

Happy Independence Day.

Best wishes

Every mistake we make should have a feedback in the form of a punishment. We humans learn and adapt from these reactions. If an activity makes us happy, we try to follow it. On the other hand, if any our action causes displeasure either physically or mentally, we try to avoid it immediately. These are natural responses in humans.

Its been almost a year since we started the anti-corruption mission. Most of you might be closely observing your activities contributing to corruption. The next phase is to react to our evil activities. For every evil act, take a punishment. I am not suggesting you to surrender to the police. Identify a daily activity of yours that you are very fond of. For instance, I am a gourmand. I can not avoid a meal. So when ever, I make a mistake and contribute to corruption, I fast the following day. Its quite difficult for me to take up this punishment. But I practice this because the next time when I try to make a mistake, I know that a self punishment is waiting for me.

It worked well with me. I still remember my feelings when I fasted the first time. When I started, I had mixed feeling. In the first place, I didn't want to do it. Then I thought, Why am I doing all this and ruining my health? I had several such thoughts. But I was determined and successfully completed the fast. After the fast, I was totally a different person. I was quite happy. I don't even know if its happiness but I had a very nice feeling. The fact that I tried to be honest and contributed for the betterment of the society, made be feel so happy. I was quite excited to realize that I adhered to some principles and even practiced them. My blood pumped quite fast and what not....Today, trying to analyze that incident; I know that I haven't done anything that day. But truly speaking, it was that good feeling which let me further. The special feeling, I experienced that day gave me the motivation to fight against anti-corruption from my side. There are many good things I learnt on that day.

The idea might seem silly. But guys give it a try. I promise you will definitely enjoy it. Make your first move….lets stop contributing to corruption…

Every one of us is striving hard to abolish corruption from our minds and free the shackles for development in India. All those who are closely following this mission has to acknowledge that this can not be realized in a few weeks or months but it will take several years to actually see the fruits for our current efforts. In our journey, so far we have done a lot but unfortunately we do not see any results to rejoice. This is de-motivating a lot of us. I wish to take a few minutes to explain what we achieved so far.

All long journeys also start with a first step. That is what we have done during the last year. During the early days we discussed about what each one of us thinks about corruption. I still remember the days when we all blamed Govt. officials and politicians for all the corruption prevailing in our country. After through analysis we did find out that each one of us is equally nurturing and promoting corruption. This is a significant outcome of the first phase of our mission. We are closely observing and conscious about all our activities contributing to corruption. Today we are in a better shape to understand what we are doing and why we are doing things to promote corruption.

Our contributions to corruption might be quite small. But we know the long term consequences of our petty activities towards corruption. We did realize that in this process, we are corrupting our brains by making ourselves believe that all our actions towards corruption are minor and will not harm anyone (which is not true). The main reasons for our mean actions are lack of time because the righteous process is cumbersome and we are scared of future consequences that we might face if we do not bribe.

But are we really scared to face the reality? You guys are very energetic, smart and well educated. You can always find solutions to any given problem. You do not have to be corrupted to realize your dreams. What we have done so far is to realize that any act towards corruption is a crime. Right now, we might not be in a position to completely stop corruption. But we will make steady progress.

We made our first move, let’s get going …This success belongs to each one of us

Happy Republic Day

I wish all Indians a very happy republic day. We are all very proud of our nation. Yet most of the time we do complain. I do agree that in our country things do not happen the way they are supposed to be. But then whom are we complaining against? Are you expecting Krish to solve our problems and clean the society of all evils and make our country a heaven on earth? No God will come to our rescue. If you do not like your society, change it to the way you like. We all know that no good deed comes without pain. If you are dreaming for a corrupt free society, you should be ready to bear the pain and make the necessary sacrifices. Do not contribute/submit to corruption from your side. Play your part in rebuilding our nation. Happy republic day.

I wish all Indians a very happy Independence Day. On this very auspicious day, lets remember the sacrifices done by our father Mahatma and many other freedom fighters. Let us learn from their valor, determination and self-confidence in fighting against the evils prevailing in our society.

From the feedback, I received for my blog, I do realize that most of you believe that it is not always possible to stop giving bribes. Many have given their practical situations where they have no option but to bribe in order to get their critical things done. Let me discuss this issue from another front.

Everyday we read, listen and mourn for the holy sacrifices of our brave soldiers across the border. Why are these soldiers sacrificing their life for us? Some might argue that its their duty. How many of us are ready to die for our duty? How many of us will ever join a company that risks our life? But why are these soldiers sacrificing their life for us? The soldier’s primary motto is to protect the country from the evil elements entering our border. Their will and determination is so strong that they even risk their life. They do believe that if they do not sacrifice, many of their brothers and sisters in the country are at the risk of their lives. But are these sacrifices constrained only to the soldiers across the border or to the men in uniform?

In our daily life, we face many situations where we need to bribe. What happens if we do not bribe? We might probably lose our valuable time, hard earned money…we might even get hurt….. Are we not ready for these sacrifices? If we are not ready for losing such small things, then are we really eligible to enjoy the freedom given to us by our soldiers? Are we really respecting their sacrifices? Please do think and do not hesitate to sacrifice for the good of our country.

Happy Independence day

Best wishes

"However good our programmes and schemes might be, their benefit will not reach the public till the government machinery is not free of corruption and till it is not effective in their implementation. I would like our public administration to be more efficient so that programmes for public good can be implemented faster. We need to improve our delivery systems to provide basic services to our citizens. We will act with speed on the recommendations of the Administrative Reforms Commission to strengthen governance. Renewed efforts will be made to decentralize public administration through the Panchayati Raj institutions and to ensure greater involvement of people in it. Initiative will be taken for a new partnership between the civil society and the government so that tax payers' money is better spent. We have enacted the Right to Information Act to enhance accountability and transparency in public life. This law will be improved so that it is more effective."

It is on this very auspicious day, August 15th, that we regained our lost identity. Lets thank our fathers and fore-fathers who had given us this FREEDOM. Being the privileged citizens of the most beautiful country, lets show our gratitude by helping someone in need.

We wish to organize a blood donation camp in Duisburg on the 15th of August, 2009. But for all those we are donating for the first time, you have to go through a medical check up in advance (August 8th or atleast by August 10th). Please contact me @ 017624855631/02035089951 for further information.

For all those we wish to know more about blood donation follow the FAQ listed below:
Is donating blood safe?
Donating blood is a safe process. Needles and bags used to collect blood are used only once and then discarded, making spread of infection to the donor not possible.

Can I give if I have been turned down before?
Most reasons, for which donors are turned away from donating blood are temporary, not permanent. For example, one common reason for a deferral is low iron level in the blood, but iron levels fluctuate daily and are affected by what you eat. Check the eligibility requirements to see if you may be eligible to donate. A "mini-physical" is given to all potential donors to ensure they are healthy enough to donate.

How often can one give blood?
Regulations in the United States allow people to donate whole blood once every 56 days. The waiting period between donations can be different for other blood components. For example, donating only platelets in a process called apheresis requires only a 3 day wait before a person can give again. Donating two units of red blood cells through a similar process doubles the waiting period to 112 days.

How do I know if I am eligible to donate blood?
You must be in good health, be at least 17 years old, and weigh at least 110 pounds. You will also need to pass physical and health history reviews prior to donating. There is no upper age limit on your ability to donate. Conditions that require a temporary deferral are pregnancy, travel to certain parts of the world, inoculations, some health conditions and certain medications. Call 1-800 GIVE LIFE or check the eligibility requirements to get answers to specific eligibility questions you may have. Eligibility requirements may also vary for some states and blood centers. Final eligibility is determined by medical professionals at the time of donation.

Are the health history questions and my test results confidential?
Yes. The health history will be conducted by a trained professional in an individual booth arranged to preserve confidentiality. Your answers will be kept confidential, except where required by law. If your blood tests positive to any of the administered standard tests, you will receive confidential notification. The Red Cross maintains strict confidentiality of all blood donor records.

What can I do if I am not eligible to donate?
While you may be unable to donate blood, there are other ways you can help. You can help organize a blood drive, recruit other suitable donors, or volunteer at fixed sites or mobile blood drives to help make donors' experience a positive one. Monetary donations are another way to help ensure that safe blood can be provided to those who are in need.

How can I ensure a pleasant donation experience?
You'll want a good night's sleep the night before, and a good breakfast or lunch before your donation. Drink fluids like juice, milk, or soda ahead of time. Take your normal medications as prescribed. Ensure you have adequate iron level by making iron-rich foods part of your daily diet. These include red meat, poultry, fish, green leafy vegetables, iron-fortified cereals, nuts, raisins and prunes. During your donation, relax. After your donation, have some juice and cookies in the canteen. Then you can go about your daily activities, but avoid heavy lifting or strenuous exercise for the remainder of the day.

How long does it take to donate blood?
The whole process takes about an hour. It starts with registration, a health history and a mini-physical. Then comes the actual donation, which usually takes less than 10-12 minutes. Afterward, you will be asked to spend a few minutes in the "canteen" where you can have a light refreshment before returning to your normal activities.

How much blood is taken — won't it make me weak?
A blood donation equals approximately one pint of blood. The average adult body has 10-12 pints. The vast majority of people will not feel any different because of the donation. A very small percentage may experience temporary dizziness, but some rest and fluids will help you feel better quickly. Your body will replace the lost fluid within 24 hours.
