Happy republic day 2011

I wish all Indians a very happy republic day. This was the day when our freedom was legalized. We have a constitution enforced on this particular day, which states the fundamental rights of its citizens. It is this constitution which united India amidst huge diversities. I salute the brains behind framework of this constitution for their hard work and intelligence.

Do we really need this freedom? Yes. It is this freedom which gives us the right to express our thoughts, views, opinions, and practice our belief. It is because of this freedom, our thinking has matured enough to accept people of different culture, ethnicity, background, religion etc. Be proud to be a citizen of this special country.

We live in a globalization era. We import almost everything from the west. We are trying to ape the foreign culture and tradition. In the process, we are losing our basic instincts of Indianism. We are sacrificing our morals and values to grab the foreign thoughts and practices. The world admires you as an Indian and if you step into foreign shoes… You will lose your identity. How should the world acknowledge you? Be an Indian. Save the Indian identity. Save Indianism. Where ever you are, be an Indian and be proud to be an Indian.

Happy republic day. Enjoy your freedom.

Happy Republic Day to you too.

Sometimes I wonder what Indianism is. What are the key traits or behaviours you highlight in your discussions ?

Please note that my intention is not to ridicule your message, but as an Indian to genuinely discover myself.

I have been in discussions with my colleagues regarding India, esp since recently we have started outsourcing a lot. I find it very easy to show the differences we have, or the diversity, to put it positively. But when it comes to Unity, I am just not able to go beyond war and cricket.

It will be great to hear your opinion about the same. I would love to be in a position to define an Indian.

Happy Republic Day.

On this special day i would like to talk about good and bad in our constitution.

Good:
Regarding fundamental rights, democracy, uplift of backward class(atleast at that time), still there will be many which made our constitution special.

Bad:
Our judicial(i think its included in the constitution) is sooo bad now, there is a rampant increase of scams, killing, rape cases, terrorism and like sooo many.

Sometimes i think mix of capitalism and democracy is better. Only democracy alone cannot make it because somepeople will take advantage of personal wishes. Only with this democracy we are able to damage our Government (people) money by doing agitations. Is it a fundamental right of a citizen??? Is this the freedom we need??

I think its time to make some changes in the constitution....to be a developed nation.

Hi Swaroop,
I am impressed & happy to note you on highlighting on Indiannism.
It's sad to note that Indian cultural identity is slowly eroding away with each passing day.
I hope a day will come when Government of India( or NGO ) will take steps to restore & encourage the Indian Culture in the young generation and in future....

Thanks for your wishes & Wish You the Same Too!
