Venkata Swaroop Pappala

I don't think corruption is something new or unfamiliar to anyone. Everyone is responsible for this evil element in this world. We have all equally contributed to keep it always live and omnipresent. We have long back accepted corruption in our homes. We treat it like any of our family member. Its no more evil. Even if someone reports about corruption charges against any individual, people do not care because its just common.

Everyone wanted to eradicate corruption and make India a better place on earth. But how can we do that? Do we have enough time to fight against this evil? Can we sacrifice our livelihood and fight for our country? The answer from my side is a big 'NO'.

I have an idea which can fulfill my dream. This idea doesn't demand a playcard protest or a muscular war against the strong politicians. You don't have to leave your 50K euro job. You can be the same old selfish person as I am today. You don’t have to spend even a second for the welfare of our country. The idea is quite simple. Do not promote corruption from your side. For instance, if you happen to apply for a passport, and the officer promises a faster process for a bribe of Rs.5000, do not go for it. Always follow the legal path. If the officer tries to trouble you, there are many ways of protesting by just sitting at home. For instance you can lodge a complaint at public grievances (http://pgportal.gov.in/). If this doesn't work, you can question the authorities and can get your work done using the right to information act (RTI, http://righttoinformation.gov.in/). There are many other ways to solve the problem in the right way. What ever you do, make sure you are on the right track. Do not forget that there is no wrong way to do something good.

What if someone does evil deeds before u?

If the concerned person happens to be ignorant, educate him. If his muscles scare u, do not go against him. But when ever you happen to talk about him, do not make him a hero of his muscles or his boldness. Always remember that he is evil and I do believe that evil should always be killed. Consider him as dead, which no social being can accept.

Lets introduce a new discrimination in this society. There are a number of reasons to discriminate different people. But all these reasons like white/black, rich/poor, male/female etc. are pretty outdated concepts. I am pretty bored following them since my childhood. Why don’t we introduce a new cause for discrimination? Lets differentiate the corrupted evil doers from the righteous men. If everyone practices this idea, then we have to plan a holiday in Europe or America to visit 'Corruption'.

I am practicing this idea since two years. I have already started a secret battle against corruption from my side. So when r u going 2 join me?

Please stay connected and raise your voice against corruption.

First of all i appreciate your initiation by raising your voice against "Corruption".
I should say greedy of money is one of the main reason for corruption. Especially people
are not satisfied with the money what they have. They want always more n more.
So they take the advantage of getting money through the other person needs.
If the customer work is going to be done in the usual way according to the rules, the person
won't think about bribing, for example: the suituation in germany. The people like us who
faced bribing, never get thought about bribing, because everything goes according to the
strict rules atleast in our vicinity.

On the other side the customer corrupt the other person for getting his work done faster or
the way he/she likes. If the other person follow the rules and he/she can stop the customer
bribing.

So Corruption can be eradicated atleast by starting from any side. By the initiation (against
corruption) from our side will definitly ignite the idea on other side.

Nice blog, I appreciate your efforts. As you mentioned in your blog everyone think of eliminating corruption but no one give it a try. I would support this cause and I always use to do....I have got many things in my life without corruption and I had fights with govt officials in the regard. I agree that I have never taken any step to prosecute such evil people. I would later add some ideas to this blog how we can fight corruption and eradicate it. I would also request my fellow readers to share there ideas. It would take time but we can do that.
Keep it up Swaroop.

Nice initiative, First thing I like about this blog is its very organized and the content is awesome. Dr Kalam's speech, Dubey's life story...great persons and great examples.
What I believe is - Though its taking a hell lot of time, but definitely a change is coming in. Every change has a resistance to get through with and this change is not a small one. This is one of the major factors because of which our country is still considered a developing one.
We all know this common saying – This is India and everything is possible. We might have told this sentence ourselves several times. There are many factors which govern this whole corruption and many more reasons behind them. Well, its much difficult to list out all of them in one comment, but lets see one at this moment -
Lets see corruption as it is. It starts with black tickets in a theatre to a parliamentarian. Even prime ministers have also been victims of it. Of course, it was never proved though. Those are all still allegations. Well, that’s the reason its not curbed. How long does a court case take to be finalized – 1 month, 1 year…Ok 3 years!!!
The government itself has thousands of cases pending in the courts. What about civil and criminal cases?
The judgment should always be announced before the public forgets the case. What happened to Mumbai blasts case? Was the accused sentenced? Even the MumbaiKars themselves have forgotten the case. And of course the media as well. There was a complete chaos in the media for one week and after that they have shifted their focus to some other story.
I believe one way of doing this – computerize all offices – Court, Police Stations, RTO, Municipality, everything. Reduce paper work. Make it almost zero. Provide one and only identification card across the country (Cong Govt has just started planning this). This way, we can track each and every document and individual. Fines should be more and strictly imposed. One should always think twice before committing crime. Increase the salaries of police officers, constables, traffic police, govt teachers to 5 figure salary. And then impose strict laws against corruption, crime, bribery. If caught, he should have a black remark on his identity card and that should affect his whole life.
Am I day dreaming……..I am pretty confident that day will certainly come. I may not be alive to see that change, but yep our next generations will definitely see!!

Great initiative. There are people who keep preaching me 'you can't do anything alone, so stop raising your voice against corrupt people'. I argue that if we all think like this then we will all be victimised by the corrupt. I may be small fry, but my voice could heard by many and some of them may join me and make chorus. This blog is a brilliant example. It has caught my notice. I applaud this initiative. I have now found a community who will raise their voice against corruption.
